Fortnite v24.20 Update: Free Attack on Titan Rewards, Thunder Spears, ODM Gear & More

Here are all the leaks and patch notes for the Fortnite v24.20 update – it’s a big one for Attack on Titan fans!

The highly-anticiapted Fortnite v24.20 patch has arrived. Dataminers are already hard at work searching the files for fresh content. This is what to expect:

Attack on Titan Collab + Thunder Spears

We knew the Fortnite x Attack on Titan collaboration was coming today, but no one was sure exactly what that meant.

Well, firstly, the Thunder Spears from AoT will be available in-game as a new weapon. You’ll also be able to pick up Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (ODM) as teased in the Chapter 4 Season 2 trailer.

These new items can be found in Chests, Scout Regiment Footlockers, and as floor loot.

Head down to the Anvil Square POI to explore the Jaeger family's basement.  

New Captain Levi and Mikasa Ackermann Outfits are in the Item Shop right now, plus challenges to unlock the Eren Jaeger secret Battle Pass Outfit are finally live for Battle Pass holders.

Free Attack on Titan Rewards

Earn the Courageous Mikasa Spray by completing an upcoming Thunder Spear-themed Week 5 Quest. Then, complete the first of the Trigger Happy Trials to unlock the Scowling Levi Emoticon.

In order to start the Trigger Happy Trials, you will first have to complete the Treasure Hunting Trials and Process of Elimination Trials.

Fortnite Lock on Pistol

Look out for the new Lock on Pistol coming soon too! This is the official description, “Specialized pistol that locks onto and tracks a target. Exceptionally useful during high speed pursuits”.

A new Surfboard vehicle is also in the works for next season according to @HYPEX.

Gameplay changes

The Port-A-Bunker has been unvaulted in Zero Build only. Chuck one down for instant cover and a nice place to take shots from.

Dirt Bikes have also returned to both Zero Build and Battle Royale playlists.

Leaked cosmetics

BALANCE CHANGES

• Unvaulted the Port-A-Bunker in Zero Build.
• Introduced a Rare-rarity Kinetic Blade. With identical damage to the Epic Kinetic Blade, this Rare counterpart has only two Kinetic Dash charges. Rare Kinetic Blades can be found from the ground and Kinetic Blade stands.
• Reduced the max headshot damage of the Mythic Havoc Pump Shotgun.
• Reduced the accuracy and hipfire rate of the Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifle.
• In Trios and Squads, reduced the number of Mythic Overclocked Pulse Rifles dropped by capturing a rifting-in POI.
• In Trios and Squads, reduced the number of Mythic Havoc Pump Shotguns found inside Vaults.

COMPETITIVE NOTES

• Thunder Spears are not included in Arena or tournaments.
• Dirt Bikes are not included in Arena or tournaments.

BUG FIXES

• Fixed an issue that allowed players to retain the healing effect of hot springs.
• Fixed an issue involving rebooted players sometimes appearing invisible to teammates.
