The Throwable Launch Pad is coming to Fortnite very soon and it looks awesome.

Tuesday’s Fortnite v22.10 update introduced Holo-Chests and the Cobra DMR as well as a few interesting map changes. However, there were some other new items added to the game files that haven’t gone live just yet.

Here’s a first look at the Throwable Launch Pad and Goo Gun to get you ahead of the meta:

New Throwable Launch Pad

Launch Pads were removed from competitive Fortnite earlier in Chapter 3 after players started abusing Discord bots to find where they were on the map and get an unfair advantage.

They have also been absent from the new Zero Build mode as they are Trap items, and you need to be able to place a floor build in order to use one.

Luckily, the new Throwable Launch Pad solves both these problems. Instead of being a Trap, it’s a throwable item that takes up a slot in your loadout.

To use it, you simply throw it down and hop on. Other than that, it’s just like a normal Launch Pad. You can hold a maximum stack of two.

Fortnite Throwable Launch Pad Release Date

The new Throwable Launch Pad was added to the game files in the Fortnite v22.10 patch, meaning it can be deployed with a hotfix at any time.

Epic tends to drop hotfixes weekly between bigger content updates, adding the odd item or two. Therefore it’s very likely that the Throwable Launch Pad arrives next week, around October 11.

If not then, leakers suggest they will be added the following week alongside Fortnitemares 2022 at the latest.

Throwable Launch Pad & Goo Gun Gameplay

Another upcoming weapon is the Explosive Goo Gun, which was first teased at the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.

It fires bursts of explosive goo (shocker!) that detonate shortly after impact. The Goo Gun deals a lot of damage to builds, and isn’t bad on enemies either, though you’ll need to get quite close to hit them.
