We studied gameplay from top pro players to find the best fighting loadout for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.

Sure, getting wins is fun, but playing aggressive and racking up eliminations is even better. Whether you’re pushing sweats in Arena or running through public lobbies, having the right kit is important.

Now that we’re a few weeks into Chapter 4 Season 2, everyone has had plenty of time to test out all the new weapons and items. And when it comes to w-keying, one loadout has been especially popular with the pros.

Here’s what to carry:

Best Chapter 4 Season 2 Loadout

Havoc Pump Shotgun

Havoc Pump Shotgun Fortnite

The preferred choice of Shotgun this season is the new Havoc Pump. It’s capable of dealing huge damage, pulls out and reloads relatively fast, and is incredibly satisfying to use. Just remember to build, reset your edit, or switch to your SMG after taking a shot.

Twin Mag SMG

Twin Mag SMG Fortnite

When playing strictly for kills, most pros will carry the Twin Mag SMG and not take an Assault Rifle. This is because you’ll mainly be pushing enemies and fighting up close and personal. Plus, if you’ve got decent aim, you can still hurt people at medium range.

Katana

Best fighting loadout Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

This is a must in the Season 2 meta! The Katana’s dash ability lets you launch across the map, flying from fight to fight (important if you’re trying to get as many kills as possible). It also allows you to escape bad situations and prolong your life, or chase after other Katana users running away from you.

2x Heals

Mythic Slurp Juice Fortnite

Finally, you’re going to want to hold two healing items. The specific combination doesn’t matter too much as it just depends what you find, but prioritize Shield over whites. If you’re doing a lot of fighting, fast heals like Chug Splashes and the upgraded Mythic Slurp Juice can come in clutch, however, you can’t go wrong with the classic Mini and Big Pot setup either.
