Fortnite Winterfest 2022 Christmas update: 2 FREE skins, Holiday items & Super Level Styles

The Fortnite Winterfest 2022 Christmas event is live, bringing a stocking full of festive changes.

Just over a week into Fortnite Chapter 4, the first full content update has arrived – and it’s a big one! There’s plenty to enjoy, from unvaulted weapons to dozens of free gifts.

Unwrap free presents

The popular Winterfest lodge has returned, this year guarded by Snowdancer, Sled Ready Guff, and Cozy Knit Jonesy. Come back each day to unwrap a total of 14 presents, containing a whopping 17 free items.

These include the Arctic Adeline and Sled Ready Guff Outfits, two Gliders, two Wraps, a Back Bling, Pickaxe, three Lobby Tracks, three Sprays, a Contrail, Emote, and Emoticon.

Want even more for your holiday locker? Play with five different friends before January 3, 2023, to unlock the Curling Iron Emote.

You’ll also be able to complete special Winterfest Quests to secure some extra XP along the way.

Festive gameplay updates

As a seasonal treat, Snowball Launchers have been temporarily unvaulted in place of Rocket Launchers. Plus, open Holiday Presents to collect rare loot.

Sgt. Winter will be patrolling the new Island on his special big red. Be nice and you might get a gift. Just be sure not to get yourself on the naughty list!

On top of these Winterfest additions, when playing in a team, Reality Augments your teammates have unlocked now have a chance to appear in your own selections.

Please note, Snowball Launchers, Holiday Presents, and Sgt. Winter will not feature in competitive playlists.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass Super Level Styles

This one’s for the grinders! Chapter 4 Season 1’s Battle Pass Super Level Styles are now available to unlock.

Progress past level 125 to begin earning Elysian, Aeon, and Halycon Styles for Helsie, Selene, Ageless, Dusty, and Massai.

Another free skin?

Oh, you thought we were done with the freebies? Nope, there’s one more Outfit up for grabs.

PC players can unlock the Guff Gringle skin simply by launching Fortnite from the Epic Games launcher and claiming it from the Item Shop. You have until January 3 to redeem Guff Gringle.

Extra Fortnite Crew reward

Anyone who joins the Fortnite Crew before January 3 will automatically receive the reactive Chill-la-la-Llama Back Bling. The Back Bling sneezes whenever you get an elimination or open a Chest.

Subscribers will also receive the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass, Joni the Red skin, and 1,000 V-Bucks.
