Why is Clix banned on Twitch 2022?

NRG star Clix has received a temporary Twitch ban for "sexual conduct".

Just earlier today, we reported that Cody “Clix” Conrod was looking for a new face to join him at the NRG content house.

Now, the popular streamer has been shocked by a sudden ban on Twitch. However, it appears to be temporary, so fans don’t need to panic just yet.

Upon noticing the suspension, Clix tweeted “Banned on Twitch wtf”. Currently, you cannot access his channel or any VODs.

Why have Twitch banned Clix?

UPDATE: Clix has confirmed that the ban was for "sexual conduct" in a GTA Role-Playing stream.

When you go to Clix’s Twitch account, you are met with an error page and the following message:

“This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service”.

The exact reasoning for the ban is unclear right now. Undoubtedly Clix’s team will reach out to Twitch and will hopefully be able provide more clarity soon.

He wasn’t live when the ban occurred, suggesting that it was something from a past VOD that violated the terms of service.

How long is Clix banned from Twitch?

UPDATE: Clix's Twitch ban has been reduced from 7 days to 3, meaning he will be back for the start of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.

There is no information available disclosing the length of this ban. According to the automated bots which post about new bans, this is a temporary suspension.

Therefore, it could be as short as 7 days, which may even end up being a win for Clix considering the added attention. His supporters are already rallying behind him on Twitter, calling for the Fortnite pro to be unbanned.

This is actually Clix’s fourth ban on the streaming platform. Previous incidents happened in 2021 and 2019, and related to DMCA issues and breaking guidelines in an angry outburst.
