Battle it out against other duos in the PlayStation Cup this weekend for a share of the $100,000 prize pool.

Sony has been spoiling PlayStation Fortnite players so far in 2022 with a new chance to compete for big money every month. They’re running it back again for March, and this time it’s all about Duos!

Be quick though, you don’t have long to find the perfect partner. Round 1 of the tournament starts on Friday, March 11, with the Finals taking place the next day.

To compete, both you and your teammate must be using either a PS4 or PS5 console. According to the official PlayStation website, you’ll also need an active PS Plus subscription and to be aged 16+.

As mentioned earlier, the event will occur across two rounds, with the top 50 duos from Round 1 progressing to the next stage. In Round 1, you’ll have 3 hours to complete up to 10 matches, earning points for both placement and eliminations based on the following system:

Round 1 Scoring

Victory Royale: 25 points

2nd: 22 points

3rd: 20 points

4th: 18 points

5th: 17 points

6th: 16 points

7th: 15 points

8th: 14 points

9th: 13 points

10th: 12 points

11th: 11 points

12th: 10 points

13th: 9 points

14th: 8 points

15th: 7 points

16th: 6 points

17th: 5 points

18th - 19th: 4 points

20th - 21st: 3 points

22nd - 23rd: 2 points

24th - 25th: 1 point

Each Elimination: 1 point

Round 2 will be a set lobby and there will only be 6 matches. The scoring is a little different too, eliminations and high placements yield more points, since the games will naturally be more difficult:

Additionally, all duos who score at least 8 points in Round 1 will unlock the Neo Versa Emoticon as a small thank you for playing.

As with all Fortnite competitions, Two-Factor Authentication must be enabled to enter. Plus, you’ll need to be level 50 or above on your Epic account.
