Earn the Rainbow Racer Outfit and other cosmetics just for spending time on Fortnite.

Following Fortnite’s successful “Best Friendzy” event this summer, Epic is introducing a similar scheme to attract new or inactive players. The Refer a Friend program is live now and rewards gamers simply for playing with their pals.

Head over to fn.gg/ReferAFriend and log in to your Epic Account to start. You can either pick an existing friend from your friends list or use the invite link to introduce someone new.

To qualify, your friend must have played less than 120 minutes of a core Fortnite Battle Royale mode (i.e., Solo, Duos, Trios, or Squads) in the last 30 days.

Once you have set everything up, complete in-game tasks to unlock the rewards. Most of them will be pretty easy to get and won’t take long, but if you want the skin, you’re going to have to grind.

Tasks & Rewards

Gridlock Loading Screen – Create a connection by adding a friend on the website

Miridescent Wrap – Play 1 match of Duos, Trios or Squads with your referee

Flair Fare Glider – Place top 10 three times in Duos, Trios or Squads with your referee

Drive Shaft Pickaxe – Eliminate 10 opponents in Duos, Trios or Squads with your referee

Rainbow Racer Outfit – Both you and your referee must gain 60 account levels

Don’t worry though, there’s no immediate rush to complete the challenges. You must register by November 14 at 11:59 PM ET to take part, but once you’re signed up you will have until January 10 to earn your prizes.

The good news is this timeframe includes the beginning of the next Fortnite season, which means you’ll go back to level 0 and be able to rank up faster. Plus, if you get in quick, there’s a Power Leveling weekend granting supercharged XP from October 29 at 7PM ET to November 1 at 7AM ET as part of the Fortnitemares celebration.
