Collect points and earn prizes just for playing Fortnite with your friends.

Epic Games has announced a new incentive to encourage fans to hop back in-game with their pals. Fortnite Best Friendzy is live now and will run until 4:00PM EDT on September 12.

The concept is pretty simple. You earn points for playing Fortnite with someone on your friends list. When you hit a certain points threshold, you will unlock the corresponding reward!

How does it work?

To get started, head over to bestfriendzy.fortnite.com and log in using your Epic account. From here you will be able to track your point progression and see how much longer you need to play to reach the next tier.

Points are awarded based on time in-game, rather than the number of matches or wins. Check out the format below:

  • Every 10 Minutes Played Together in Battle Royale = 1 Point

  • Every 10 Minutes Played Together in Creative = 1 Point (maximum of 6 points per day)

  • Bonus: During your selected 60-minute Daily Bonus you will receive a 3X bonus for your time spent playing Fortnite (i.e., every 10 minutes played together = 3 points)

You will be prompted to choose your preferred Daily Bonus time when you first sign in to the Best Friendzy website. Think carefully about this, you can only change it once.

What are the rewards?

In total, there are three cosmetics and one lobby track up for grabs. These items are all brand-new and unreleased, but they may be available to purchase in the future.

Here’s how many points you need to secure each one:

  • Outer Space Handshake Emoticon = 3 points

  • Invasion Remix Track = 10 points

  • Life’s a Beach Wrap= 20 points

  • Aquari-Axe Pickaxe = 50 points

Rewards should appear in your locker within one hour of reaching the relevant level. For more information and full terms and conditions, read the Fortnite Best Friendzy FAQ.
