Fortnite Season 6 is now live and in terms of new content, this is undeniably the biggest update of Chapter 2.

The Zero Crisis Finale saw Agent Jones team up with The Foundation, one of “The Seven”, to contain the Zero Point. Their efforts may have saved the Island, but not without dramatic consequences.

Check out the new Season 6 Battle Pass featuring Agent Jones, Lara Croft and more.

Map Changes

In the middle of the map, the Zero Point now sits sealed within a large stone tower know as The Spire. From here, a primal biome has formed, wiping out all traces of modern technology and introducing new POIs such as Colossal Crops and Primal Pond.

There are also a selection of Guardian Spires around the edge of the primal area, each with a mysterious NPC keeping watch. Eliminate one of these characters and take their orb to the top of the tower to be launched up for a quick rotation.

Weapons and Items

When looting, you will find makeshift weapons with basic stats that can be upgraded via the new crafting menu in your inventory. Use Metal Scraps, Bones and even combine items to fill out your loadout with some more powerful kit.

Weapons available include the Pump Shotgun and Revolver, as well as a selection of Bows with different abilities. Search one of the new Bunker Chests to collect high tier goods like the Rocket Launcher. Expect more additions throughout the season.

Wildlife

Animals including Wolves, Boars, Chickens and Toads are now roaming the Island. Hunt or tame wildlife to secure crafting materials and reap other benefits.

Stay on your toes however, according to Epic Games, “The most fearsome predators have yet to hatch”.

Also, be sure to check the waters for new fish. Leaker @HYPEX revealed that Cuddle Floppers and Stink Floppers have entered the game.

No doubt Fortnite fans will continue to discover the hidden secrets of Season 6 in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned for all the latest news and info.
