Lazarbeam took over Fortnite’s Twitter profile after joining the Icon Series on March 4th

Lannan “Lazarbeam'' Eacott is one of Fortnite’s most prolific content creators. After lamenting his name in the game’s history after joining the Icon Series, he had a little surprise for social media users

Fortnite’s social media presence spreads wide and far; the game developers have amassed a following of 12.5 million on Twitter alone. Following Lazarbeam’s induction into the Icon Series, he took over the company’s social media account to make some rather interesting tweets

Here are just a few:

Lazarbeam mentions that he asked the company for access to their Twitter account for some good ‘ole Aussie trolling. While the request was made mostly in jest, he was surprised that they granted him the go-ahead

Poggers, indeed. With how much money Lazarbeam is expected to take in from 9 year old kids buying his skin like there is no tomorrow, poggers is the exact word for this situation

Lazarbeam ended things before the waters got too choppy, noting he didn’t “want to get Fortnite Twitter in trouble”

With the likes and impressions accrued over the half dozen tweets reaching the hundreds of thousands and tens of millions respectively, I’d say this marketing stunt was a huge success

About Lazarbeam & the Icon Series

The OCE region may not get much respect from the competitive community, but when it comes to content they are unstoppable! Popular YouTuber Lannan “LazarBeam” Eacott is set to become the third Aussie gamer to get their own outfit in Fortnite.

If the rumours are true, he will join Lachlan and Loserfruit as the newest member of the Fortnite Icon Series. Other Icons include superstar musicians Travis Scott and Marshmello, Fortnite legend Ninja, and most recently, TheGrefg, who made streaming history with his record-breaking skin reveal back in January.

It was LazarBeam himself who sparked the excitement, having scheduled a video titled “MY FORTNITE SKIN REVEAL” to premiere today, March 1, at 5 PM EST
