Fortnite Leaks: Batman Crossover Event, Gotham City, New Items, Challenges, and More

A new Fortnite leak has brought us news of a Fortnite X Batman event coming soon. Take a look at all of the map changes, new items, and cosmetics we'll be getting when the event goes live.

We usually don't get too many leaks when a content update releases, but this week brought us news of the next Fortnite crossover event: Fortnite X Batman.

These challenges could go live as early as this week and will coincide with Batman Day: a yearly day to celebrate the caped crusader.

Here's everything we know about the event so far.

Tilted Town Changes

Another Rift Beacon has appeared in Tilted Town, and when you combine this with the leaked loading screen and POI addition (above), it's fair to assume that Tilted is going to transform into Gotham City.

As far as what the event will entail, we don't quite know just yet. We'll get into the new items in a moment, but it's unclear whether these will be available in core modes or isolated to an LTM.

Tilted already has a separate loot pool. This is the only place in Fortnite where you can get a Six Shooter, a Double-Barrell, and a Hunting Rifle, so Epic could add them to the game and keep them in Gotham City.

The Fortnnite X Batman event will bring us the Batman Grapnel Gun and the Explosive Batarang at least.

The Grapnel Gun looks like a traditional Grappler but seems to give you the ability to glide after you use it. The description says "Pull yourself towards a target location and then deploy the Bat Cape!"

We're also getting a proximity mine in the Explosive Batarang. It looks like you can trap walls with this thing and it will explode when a player walks by it.

"Batman's Batarang. Homes in on players and sticks to walls. Explodes if it detects enemies in proximity."

Missions and Rewards

Here are all of the challenges for the Fortnite X Batman crossover event. As expected, they all revolve around the new items and the event that could begin as early as tomorrow.

As far as the rewards go, we'll be able to get a new spray, glider, and banner along with two encrypted cosmetics we don't know about just yet.

Data miner @Lucas7Yoshi has also stated that there are 12 cosmetic items for this event, and that "There is 99% a female skin got the set."

We're obviously going to get a Batman skin, and will probably get a Joker skin as well. As for the rest - it's anyone's guess.
