Fortnite v18.10 is live and there’s plenty of newness to sink your teeth into.

The first full content update of Fortnite Season 8 is here and boy it’s a spicy one! Hop in game now to try out new and returning items, investigate some interesting map changes and level up at super speed.

Chili Chug Splash

Here’s an exciting take on an old classic. The new Chili Chug Splash works just like the original, instantly healing you and your teammates for 20 health or shield. Additionally, this bad boy will give you all the same speed boost effect as consuming a Pepper.

Chili Chug Splashes are Exotic rarity and can either be purchased from The Brat NPC by Lazy Lake or found in Loot Llamas. This does sadly mean no more Chug Cannons.

Other loot changes

Standard Chug Splashes are back too, available as ever as floor loot and in chests. Be careful in fights, even if you hit a big damage shot your opponent may have their health back in no time.

Also unvaulted is the Hunter’s Cloak from Chapter 2 Season 6. This nifty little number will keep you safe from prowling wolves and can be crafted by combining a few pieces of meat.

Have you noticed the massive Crows flying around the map this season? I keep mistaking them for players… Anyway, something else cool is that there are now rare Golden Crows on the Island too. When eliminated, they will drop Epic or Legendary weapons, including Pumps, ARs and SMGs.

Steamy Stacks

It’s finally happened! For the first time since the beginning of Chapter 2, Steamy Stacks has been updated. Unfortunately it’s not great news for the power plant.

A new purple Cube has exploded out from beneath the main building, leaving a giant hole in its wake. The Cube is now on the move to find its friends and similar events are expected to occur at other POIs soon.

XP Improvements

If like me you’ve been levelling up pretty slowly during Season 8, there’s no need to worry. Epic has adjusted the XP system to significantly increase the rewards for all missions and Quests.

In line with this, they have also released new “Super Level” styles for this season’s Battle Pass skins. After Level 140 you will begin to unlock special runic versions of Charlotte, Kor, Fabio, Sparklemane, J.B. Chimpanski and Torin.

Competitive news

The moment all competitive fans have been waiting for has arrived! Arena Hype has been reset to zero for all players. To the disappointment of many however, the highly anticipated Arena Fill option has already been disabled.

Other changes include the removal of the Rail Gun from competitive playlists and the Sideways Anomalies will despawn earlier in matches. The Anti-Gravity Tunnels in corrupted zones will now be disabled at phase 5 of the Storm (They will be disabled for the final circle in standard playlists).

Cosmetic Leaks

As well as a bunch of extra options for Toona Fish which are already in-game, a couple of cool new skins will hit the Item Shop shortly. They include a Cube Outfit and Skeletara Renegade Raider, take a look below courtesy of @iFireMonkey:
