Another one! Epic Games has been spoiling us with exciting collaborations these past few months and show no signs of slowing down. This latest crossover sees brand-new Ryan Reynolds movie “Free Guy” enter the Fortnite universe.

Premiering around the world right now, the picture follows an affable bank teller named Guy, who discovers that he is a background character in an open world videogame which is soon set to go offline.

Dude Outfit

To celebrate Free Guy’s release, one of the leading characters will be playable inside Fortnite. The Dude skin arrives in the Item Shop on August 12 at 8pm ET.

Free Guy Quests

Additionally, complete a series of Quests from Guy himself in order to earn the new Good Guy Emote. The challenges are live in-game now and are scheduled to stay active until September 6.

There are six Quests in total, however you only need to finish the first five to unlock the Emote. To get started, interact with one of the ATMs found at most POIs across the map. A short clip from Reynolds will appear on screen to congratulate you each time you get one done.

Quests

  • Get hit by moving vehicle (1)

  • Take melee damage (1)

  • Place coins around the map (3)

  • Talk with any NPC (1)

  • Reboot or revive teammates, or interact with campfires (1)

  • Use Good Guy Emote near opponent (1)

Tips

For the “Get hit by moving vehicle” Quest, you can park a car on ramp a few stories high, break it out and let the car fall onto you. This strategy is demonstrated below by @FN_Assist:

According to popular Fortnite leaker @iFireMonkey, the “Take Melee Damage” challenge is bugged and currently counts any form of damage. So that’s pretty easy… just start a fight and don’t build.

Hover over the “Place Coins Around The Map” Quest in your Quests tab and it will highlight all the different coin spawns. Hint: Believer Beach and Pleasant Park both have two spawns.

Good luck out there!
