The Fortnite conspiracy theorists are again hard at work following a series of clues that seem to point towards a throwback to the old Chapter 1 map.

For the last month or so, Twitter has been plastered with posts pleading for a revival of the original Battle Royale island. When fans recently noticed that a variant for the new Astro Jack skin had the old map inside his transparent head, excitement started to build.

Well now more potential teasers have been discovered, following the ongoing Travis Scott: Astronomical event. I won’t go into too much detail to avoid spoilers, but players in attendance reported sightings of the OG map amongst the awesome visual display.

The ending of the event also had many gamers convinced that they were about to drop straight back in for a session on the previous Fortnite island. Even if something major like this was planned, it is unlikely they would anything until everyone had had the chance to see the event. This has some people predicting that something will happen after the final Astronomical showing.

Whilst I don’t necessarily think this will be the case either, there is another hint that holds more merit. Once the first Astronomical experience was wrapped up, Vice President and CO-Founder of Epic Games, Mark Rein caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans.

Rein changed his Twitter banner to the Fortnite Chapter 1, Season 3 Battle Pass image. That’s right! Go to his account and you will see the faces of The Reaper (A.K.A John Wick), Rust Lord and Dark Voyager staring back at you.

Whilst this could all just be a cruel tease from Epic, it normally means something when they drop clues like this. What exactly is coming it’s too early to say, but it seems that Chapter 2, Season 3 will pay homage to the early days in some sort of way.
