With so many different things to learn in Fortnite, basic life hacks like this edit reset tip often go unnoticed.
If you already use this trick, you will be thinking “that’s been around for ever, how does anyone not know this?”. However, the fact that one of the best Fortnite players in the world, plus the majority of his Twitch chat have only just discovered it, means it’s probably worth sharing.
So, what am I talking about? Well, have you ever been boxed up, standing on a ramp, and you make a top corner edit to look out to the side or take a shot. Then suddenly an enemy appears, you panic, try to reset your wall but can’t because the stair piece is blocking the edit, maybe you even try to build, but obviously the wall won’t place because there’s already one there. This almost always results in a free kill for your opponent, unless you stay calm and shoot back or edit out another way.
Luckily, it doesn’t have to be that complicated. It’s actually very easy to reset that top corner edit if you know how. Dominick “UnknownxArmy” Green showed his stream how it’s done. You simply hold out a wall piece as if you are going to build, and then press edit and reset. If that sounds confusing at all, check out the clip above.
To some people, this will seem like the most basic trick ever, but plenty of Unknown’s viewers had no idea. He told them that he didn’t learn this until his very last Cash Cup. Unknown said “I thought it was just a mouse and keyboard thing where you could just easily grab it”.
If this is news to you, just give it a try in your next match or hop into Creative mode. You will see that it’s incredibly easy and works every single time. Keep this trick in mind and hopefully it will help you clutch up next time you find yourself in a sticky situation.
