A drought of content updates, or even a simple tournament announcement is slowly driving the pro community insane
Winter Royale was the most recent open competitive event. Although it’s only been 3 weeks, the lack of cash cups and really any new content is beginning to bother many Fortnite pros

With no upcoming tournaments and nothing announced, grinding right now feels like an uphill battle. That is, if the hill was indefinitely tall. Regardless, the lack of stuff to do has the “do something” meme surging

Without new content or any incentive to grind, I noticed that arena queues also nosedived. Even at peak times, I would wait upwards of 10 minutes in a queue until eventually giving up and running zone wars or box fights with friends
As quickly as boxfights have become a popular option to fill the void, they are almost just as quickly becoming stale. Wager warrior and boxfight king Clix, who just went on a 107 boxfight win streak, also thinks that it’s time for Fortnite to release something new

When the top players in a game unanimously agree on anything, it’s probably because they are right. Fortnite is one of the most revolutionary battle royale games due to the fact that you can terraform your surroundings through building and editing; keeping the game fresh and exciting is the key to longevity
Since Epic Games has a company wide holiday break that extends into the new year, I am almost certain that we will hear back from them soon. Let them settle down, and don’t bug Epic. Patience will solve the problem
