The two teams clashed during the final game of NAE Heat 4 in a battle for 1st place.

Going into the last match of the day, Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Cody “Clix” Conrod both knew that they were comfortably qualified for Grand Finals. Each squad therefore decided that this was the perfect time to try and grief the other and assert dominance.

It started off with a discussion between Tfue, Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore and co about potentially landing on Clix down at Slurpy Swamp. Young gun “Khanada” even jumped into Clix’s Discord to try and scare them, shouting “I’m stream sniping your whole stream buddy”.

Clix and his team didn’t seem too nervous though, jokingly accusing each other of stream sniping Tfue before the match had started. They were hyped up all game, desperate to get the win and score more points that Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf managed in Heat 3.

For Cloakzy and Tfue, zone was a blessing, with the final circle coming all the way over to their Steamy Stacks drop spot. This meant a long rotation for Clix and his teammates Jordan “Crimz” Herzog, Zach “Spades” Gifford and Blake “Blakeps”.

On their way across the map, they laughed saying Epic Games “definitely want Tfue to win this game”. However, shortly after this, the squad received their own dose of good karma. A stream sniper wearing the Peely skin came towards them and started dancing, giving them a free kill. They weren’t particularly happy about this, Clix jesting that “people are gonna think I’m XXiF”.

When it came to end game, Tfue and the boys were of course already set up, using the two giant cooling towers for high ground. The two teams were constantly looking for ways to ruin each other’s games. This included Cloakzy planning to spam Grenades from above, whilst Clix suggested using the cooling towers to fly up and land on Khanada.

As it turned out however, the two squads only fought from afar. Firstly, Cloakzy got separated from his teammates and peaked for a split second too long. In this time, Clix knocked him with a tasty quick scope and quickly rushed over to confirm the elimination. Blakeps also managed to take down Khanada with another snipe, however Tfue was able to get the revive off this time around.

After this, players on each team began to fall. Neither team got the victory this time around, with Tfue and Alex “Fiber” Bonetello being dropped into a box and trapped for 5th, and Spades clutching 3rd for his squad.

This meant that Clix and Crimz took 1st place in the Heat, whilst Tfue and Cloakzy came 2nd, 15 points behind. Time to see how the two teams perform in Grand Finals, where they will be joined by the likes of Bugha and Williams “Zayt” Aubin. Also, if you hadn’t worked it out from the clips, these guys were only being toxic to each other as a joke, don’t take it too seriously!
