Professional Esports team 100 Thieves furthers Fortnite investment with two new recruits
The team teased two recruitment announcements on their official Twitter page
Today, we are announcing two new Fortnite pro players. Any guesses to who they might be? #100T pic.twitter.com/VVsCOqwthh

The community wasted no time in theorizing who the lucky ducks were. Would the Thieves venture off to Europe and pick up Mitr0 or keep it local by bringing the Yung Calculator into the equation? Perhaps Australia was on the menu - as two elite OCE players are still on the market

Before speculation could get too out of hand, the thin veil was promptly uncovered
Welcome @Grandma100T to 100 Thieves!

Grandma first caught our eye as Drake’s Fortnite duo. We’re excited to have him on the team and can’t wait to see him elevate his competitive play as our newest pro player! #100T pic.twitter.com/AfbSlMBC1l
The first signee was Grandma, who is well known for frequently linking up with popular rap artist Drake to grab dubs. Now he will be linking up with #100T for even more dubs as a hybrid content creator and competitive player
Welcome @Falconerrr to 100 Thieves Fortnite!

Falconer has been an integral part of @Arkhram1x’s team over the past year, placing 5th in the World Cup and qualifying several times for the FNCS. We’re excited to have him officially part of our pro Fortnite team. #100T pic.twitter.com/t41Z0oamiI
The second pick up was slightly less surprising, as Falconer was the 4th highest Fortnite tournament earner that isn’t on a roster. The 3 other unsigned players? Aquaa (duo WC winner), Mitr0 (expected to sign with a team in the near future), and Tfue (need I put anything here?). Falconer’s 5th place finish during the duos portion of the World Cup cemented himself as a frontrunner for the new wave of pickups
Additional Fortnite signings only further legitimizes the industry as a whole. Best of luck to the new recruits and I am excited to cover their future endeavours!
