This season’s Cash Cup rotation is now live, and the competition starts today! Here’s everything you need to know and how to play:

Although in classic Chapter 2 fashion Epic Games are yet to make any official comment, the weekly Cash Cups for season 1 have all appeared under the ‘Compete’ tab in the game lobby. There is truly something for everyone, giving you the best chance to get involved. So, let’s break it down:

Platform Cash Cup

Every Wednesday

Solo

Each week’s action will kick off on Wednesday with the Solo Platform Cash Cup. In this tournament you will only be matched against players using the same platform as you. So that means if you play on PS4, then you will only compete with other PlayStation or Xbox users. PC with PC, mobile with mobile etc. In order to unlock this Cup, you must first reach Contender League in Arena.

The tournament takes place over just one round, with the following scoring format;

  • Victory Royale +3

  • Reach Top 5 +2

  • Reach Top 15 +2

  • Reach Top 25 +3

  • Each Elimination +1

Every Thursday

Solo

Thursdays will play host to another Solo Cash Cup, this time around all platforms will compete together. This also means a bigger prize pool. Again, you will need to reach Contender League in Arena if you wish to take part.

The tournament takes place over just one round, with the following scoring format;

  • Victory Royale +3

  • Reach Top 5 +2

  • Reach Top 15 +2

  • Reach Top 25 +3

  • Each Elimination +1

Friday Nite Fortnite

Every Friday

Squads

Keemstar may not be too happy about the name of this tournament, or the fact that it has taken up the Friday slot. This one is a bit different. There are no cash prizes up for grabs and you are simply playing for pride, plus a nice shiny new banner if you earn 20 points. Anyone can compete in this event so the standard may be a bit lower but if you are new to competitive Fortnite it could be a nice chance to gather some friends and dip your toe in.

The tournament takes place over just one round, with the following scoring format;

  • Victory Royale +3

  • Reach Top 2 +3

  • Reach Top 4 +3

  • Reach Top 6 +3

  • Reach Top 12 +3

  • Each Elimination +1

Hype Nite

Every Saturday

Squads

If you are yet to make it to Champion League in Arena and can’t compete in the Fortnite Champion Series, here is an alternative. This Squads event is open to anyone and rewards you with a certain amount of Arena “Hype” depending on your placement.

The tournament takes place over just one round, with the following scoring format;

  • Victory Royale +3

  • Reach Top 2 +3

  • Reach Top 4 +3

  • Reach Top 6 +3

  • Reach Top 12 +3

  • Each Elimination +1

Event times for each tournament will vary between regions, you can check the schedule here.
