Taco Time is the new mechanic in the Rift Zone of Greasy Grove. Epic has responded to player feedback and made some adjustments to the area.

Greasy Grove is a fan-favorite location, and a lot of players were thrilled to hear that it was coming back to the game. Unfortunately, the return of the POI came with an unwelcome mechanic: Taco Time.

After landing in Greasy Grove a few times, I have to admit that I've come around on Taco Time a bit.

The free shields are nice, and it's much easier to save yourself after getting beamed by an opponent. I'd still rather have the regular Greasy Grove, but you have to make lemonade sometimes.

The biggest problem I had with Taco Time is the duration. It lasts a bit too long, and it's frustrating that you can't open doors, gather loot, or adjust your inventory while you're dancing.

Fortunately, Epic recently announced an adjustment to Taco Time, shortening its duration by half.

As you can see, Epic also tweaked Storm Circles to further avoid Rift Zones. This was a huge issue that was supposed to be addressed in the Content Update this week.

To the surprise of many, late-game storm circles were still pushing them towards these dreaded POIs. Epic responded to the complaints, but this further adjustment should do the trick.

We'll have to wait and see, of course. Hopefully, Taco Time, the no-building zone, and Prop Hunt don't ruin any games in this weekend's FCS.
