Starting next week, Epic will make sure the final circle never falls in Rift Zones. This is a step in the right direction.

It hurts to say this, but Season 10 might be the worst season Fortnite has ever released.

Not only are mechs running amuck in every game mode, but Epic continuously adds Rift Zones that make certain areas of the map damn-near unplayable.

Yesterday, I wrote an article detailing the problems with the Rift Zones, and how they're turning people away from Fortnite.

These Rift Zones are making Fortnite more frustrating and have turned two easy-win scenarios - the return of Greasy Grove and the fusion of Moisty Paradise - into community-splitting decisions.

Thankfully, it looks like Epic is taking a step in the right direction.

Final Circle in Rift Zones

Nah what the fuck from r/FortniteCompetitive

One of the biggest problems with these Rift Zones is highlighted when the final circle gets to them.

We'll be fighting in low-gravity at Loot Lake, a no-build zone in Tilted, Greasy Grove where falling tacos force you to dance and die to the storm, Moisty where you can't crouch, or Retail where zombies swarm and kill you.

There are countless clips of Rift Zone mechanics causing players to die during the late-game - which is especially troubling when money is on the line.

The good news is that it looks like Epic will be addressing this issue with next week's content update.

Beginning next week end zones will no longer be in Rift Zones! from r/FortniteCompetitive

This is welcome news for most players - especially those in the competitive community. Having these mechanics decide games in competitive Fortnite is horrible for the state of the game, and Epic is finally taking note.

Although this is a good decision for Epic, there is a better idea floating around the Fortnite subreddits: disabling Rift Zones after the third circle.

If Epic disabled the zones after a certain number of circles, this wouldn't be a problem. The circles could finish anywhere on the map and we wouldn't need to worry about not being able to build, tacos making us dance, turning into a prop, zombie attacks, etc.
