A new strategy has emerged that doesn't revolve around phasing through turbo-building. Instead, the opponent will let you inside their box while you trap them under a staircase.

One of the reasons Fortnite is still so popular two years after it came out is that players are always finding new ways to improve.

One strategy that was recently posted to Reddit involves trapping enemy players under a staircase instead of taking their wall.

The trick is to make the other player think you're going to take their wall, only to trap them underneath a staircase and secure the kill.

The strategy was posted to the r/FortniteCompetitive subreddit by user YoungPlutus. It was posted from an actual game as well - most of these clips come from Creative Mode.

Some of the people in the comments claim to have seen pro players like FaZe Dubs and Bugha use this strategy, but it was a first for myself and many other players.

Even if you've seen something like this before, it's helpful to see it broken-down for you.

This strategy will be incredibly useful for those battling players with lower ping. We're in the era of wall-replace, and ping is everything here. If you can't get the wall, then trapping a player under a staircase is the next best decision.
