One of the new emotes added to Fortnite - the Deep Dab - allows you to exploit.

One of the new emotes added to Fortnite - the Deep Dab - is more than just a cosmetic addition to the game. It allowed skilled players to find a new way to peak and shoot their opponent without risking themselves in the process.

Fortnite is not a pay-to-win game. All of the items you can purchase are purely cosmetic and offer no gameplay advantage.

At least, that was always the case in Fortnite. Although Epic clearly didn't see this one coming, they added an emote into their store that offers a distinct advantage.

The Deep Dab allows players who have the right-hand peak to emote under a window, spring up, and shoot their opponent without giving them the chance to fire back.

The Exploit

The first person to publically reveal this exploit was @TheFlexDaddy. He posted a clip of the process on social media, and Reddit quickly picked up on the new strategy.

As you can see from the clip, the opponent gets no opportunity to shoot back on a player using this exploit.

Since then, larger streamers like SypherPK have picked up on the strategy and shown people how it's done. It's only a matter of time before the majority of competitive players are using the emote to their advantage.

For those who don't know, the Deep Dab emote came from popular YouTuber jacksfilms, who has advertised Fortnite to his viewers in the past.

Jack is laughably bad at the game and has no affiliation with it other than a few paid advertisements he did for Fortnite when it was still less than a year old. He was as surprised as anyone to see his move added into Fortnite.

Regardless of where it came from, it seems like the lifespan of the Deep Dab in Fortnite is limited. Unless Epic can somehow change the motion of the emote to prevent this exploit, it looks like they might have to remove it from the game altogether.
