Take a look at the changes made for the v9.10 content update.
The content update for v9.10 is now live. It doesn't come with a ton of changes, but we do have a new weapon to play with.
Weapons & Items
Epic has introduced the Burst SMG with this patch. As previous leaks reported, it's available in Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants. It can be found from floor loot, chests, and vending machines.
- Fires a quick 4 round burst.
- Deals 23, 24, 25 damage.
- 1.75x headshot multiplier.
- 24 round magazine.
Epic also vaulted the suppressed SMG with this update.
Although the Burst SMG adds a bit of variety to the game, it's unlikely that it will be a fan-favorite. The Suppressed SMG was already getting passed over for the Drum Gun or Tactical Assault Rifle, and the Burst SMG probably won't be much different in this regard.
Like it or not, we're in the middle of the spray meta in Fortnite. Any weapon that doesn't have a spray mechanic is almost always going to have a low pick-rate, but I could be wrong.
LTM Changes
Epic also added Solid Gold Duos, Unvaulted Squads, and Close Encounters Squads to the LTM Lineup.
Fortnite is adding four hot spots to each game of Team Rumble as well, with at least one on each side. Eventually, they are going to force the same number on each side in a future update.
