The first full content update of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is now live. Look out for fresh gameplay changes, some new cosmetics and a couple of very interesting leaks!

Fortnite is on fire right now, with former players and big-name streamers swarming back to enjoy the new Zero Build mode. On Sunday, viewership sat consistently above 500k as Tfue, Cloakzy and Nickmercs battled it out in the $100,000 Twitch Rivals Creator Series.

Though patch v20.10 isn’t the craziest in terms of content, it still features a couple of significant additions. Here’s all the juicy details:

Heavy Sniper + AR Funding

A true fan favorite, the Heavy Sniper has been unvaulted and is available in-game right now. This high-calibre beast of a weapon is as devasting to players and builds as ever, and it’s received a handy upgrade too.

The Heavy Sniper’s damage to vehicles has been substantially increased, providing another option to counter those terrifying tanks. Find it in Chests and Supply Drops, with Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants.

Note: Max damage for a headshot with the gold Heavy is 198, so you will not be able to one-shot someone with full shield. Remember in Zero Build, players will also have Overshield to give extra protection.

Elsewhere on the weapon front, funding is live for the MK-Seven and Combat Assault Rifle. Whichever gun hits 100% funded first will be added immediately.

Battle at the Bugle

The war between the IO and the Resistance has reached new heights, with forces from each side now engaged in a chaotic skirmish at the Daily Bugle. Huntmaster Saber, a hostile AI boss is lurking above, so keep your guard up.

According to dataminer @HYPEX, as these fights break out at POIs across the Island, the corresponding Blimps will begin to be taken down. The Covert Canyon Blimp may be the only one remaining by the end of Season 2.

Competitive Update

The Heavy Sniper will not be included in competitive playlists, and neither will the winner of the MK-Seven vs Combat Assault Rifle vote initially. However, there is a chance that the victorious AR is added later after further evaluation.

Additionally, while Huntmaster Saber will now be patrolling the Daily Bugle, the rest of the IO and Resistance soldiers will not be present.

Zero Build Arena

Popular leaker @iFireMonkey revealed that Epic has created Zero Build modes for Arena Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads. The option is in the files, but not currently available in-game.

This may not be intended as a permanent mode, and could potentially just be for Zero Build tournaments like the recent Twitch Rivals event.

Cosmetics

Super Level versions of the Battle Pass skins are now unlockable. Check out all the designs below:
