Take a sneak peak at all of the changes in Fortnite Season 4!
For the first time in what seems like an eternity, Epic stuck to their original seasonal change date and didn’t employ any “last second delays.” While we respect our fallen mobile warriors who cannot enjoy the update with us (F), let’s jump into all the biggest changes you will find in the new season
New Battlepass!
As is tradition within the Fortnite leaking community, the Battlepass trailer is the first to be revealed. Here’s what you’re greeted with after launching Fortnite for the first time in Season 4

As you can clearly tell, this season will have a large Marvel/Avengers presence. Not only are the Battlepass skins licensed Avengers concepts - the Victory Royale umbrella for this season is also Marvel themed
Stark POI
If Tony Stark wasn’t famous enough, how about a Fortnite POI dedicated to the man of the hour? Head on over to the top-left corner of the map where you will be greeted by Season X supply drops and a new “Energy” rifle

Shotgun overhaul
The first and only shotgun to have never left the loot pool since season 1 is leaving the game with the introduction of Season 4. While we regretfully say goodbye to our trusty Tactical shotgun, many players are more than happy with the trade off as the Pump shotgun is back in the loot pool!
The BIG Ron is reunited with his favorite shotgun. His reaction is priceless
Additionally, players have spotted the Combat shotgun in core and competitive loot pools despite “exceedingly low” drop rates. Can you find the charge shotgun?
Do you prefer the Tac or Pump shotgun and are you happy with these changes? Let us know on Twitter
New trap
Chapter 2’s close combat meta was strongly encouraged due to the removal of traps around the same time. The 8 month streak comes to a snap as we introduce at least one new trap to the loot pool

Welcome to the game: Fire Trap. Early indications suggest the placeable trap will deal 50 damage and have a reload time of 7 seconds. If the past is any indication of the future, the trap should act friendly to whoever places it
New cosmetics
Every season, we get an advanced look at both the seasonal Battlepass skins and some of the item shop cosmetics which will be rotated in and out throughout the season. Here’s all the notable Battlepass skins and item shop cosmetics data miners were able to find:

New flopper variants
Players are spotting new and unique floppers that offer distinct advantages when compared to the original flopper/slurpfish fish loot pool. The “Thermal Flopper” offers you advanced vision capabilities for a limited time

The legendary Midas has transformed himself into fish form. Who knew that was even possible? Regardless - if you’re able to get your hands on the Midas flopper, theories suggest you’ll be rewarded with a full legendary inventory upgrade

Is the Midas fish a cool addition or just another… flop. Fine, I’ll escort myself out
While these patch notes cover some of the main changes that happened to Fortnite, the season is still fresh for us as well. We will add more information to this thread as it becomes available
While the initial reviews of Season 4 is quite mixed, I’d love to hear what you think about this patch over on Twitter
