Having trouble landing at the new Fortnite Season 2 locations? Here is a selection of tips and tricks we have found from the controller legend himself, Nickmercs.

Ever since waving goodbye to Tilted Towers at the beginning of Chapter 2, Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff has been struggling to find a drop to call home. However, with the addition of the mythical POIs for Fortnite Season 2, Nick has made The Agency his new playground.

With its central location, maze-like layout and high tier loot, this is about as close as you can get to a Tilted Towers 2.0. Not to mention that it’s usually contested by a whole army of enemies. If you can make it out alive though, you will be looking stacked and ready for a victory.

So, what’s the strat?

The first thing to learn from Nickmercs is that you must always land on a gun. This is the most important part of your drop. If it’s heavily contested and you don’t get a weapon straight away, then you’ll probably find yourself back in the lobby pretty soon (especially with the aimbot Henchmen running around).

Of course, you now want to make your way through the building and loot up. But your primary focus needs to be on taking out any opponents that landed with you. With The Agency being so chaotic, as well as the loud spy music in the background, it can be easy for someone to sneak up on you whilst you’re opening a chest.

The layout of this building is quite complex, so if you want to master this spot, you will need to learn every nook and cranny like the back of your hand. One way that Nick survives so long even with a scuffed loadout is by quickly moving through the ventilation system, and then playing sneaky and holding angles to surprise unsuspecting foes.

Once you have cleared up any last stragglers, you will want to head to the vault if it hasn’t already been looted. To gain access you will have to eliminate Midas and pick up his key card. You can also grab his Mythic Drum Gun, which is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Inside the vault you will find all the shield you could ever need, as well as a bunch of high tier guns.

Oh yeah, also, don’t underestimate Midas!

It is quite possible that by the time you’re ready to leave, another player or team will have pushed in from Salty Springs or Risky Reels. This shouldn’t be a problem, as by now you will have one of the best loadouts in the lobby.

Finally, Nick will usually head up to the roof of The Agency to scout out his next move. Sometimes even placing a Launch Pad to look for people to fly at. Obviously what you do here will depend on your playstyle and where the next zone is, but it’s always worth getting up top for a good vantage point.
