We finally have some news for competitive Fortnite fans and its very exciting if you play on Playstation 4!
The Fortnite Celebration Cup has been announced and it will be taking place on February 15 and 16. Unfortunately, unless you play on PS4, you won’t be able to compete. If you are a Playstation player however, this is an excellent chance to get a slice of a $1,000,000 prize pool!
In order to compete you must play Fortnite on PS4, have 2-Factor Authentication enabled on your Epic Games account, and have reached at least level 15 on your Fortnite account.
Mark Feb 15 - 16 on your calendars, and start training for the Fortnite Celebration Cup - only on PS4!

The first day of action will have no financial prizes, but instead give you the chance to win some awesome in-game items. Just like the recent online Summer Smash Cup, prizes are unlocked based on how well you place.
Top 50% will get the “Take Cover” Spray
Top 25% collect the “Wild Accent” Pickaxe
Top 5% win the “Tango” Outfit
On day 2, things ramp up. This time around if you perform well, you may just take home some cash. There are plenty of payments up for grabs, and you can check where you need to finish in your specific region in the official rules here.
Whilst anyone who doesn’t play on PS4 may be left feeling a little miffed, this no doubt means similar events will be taking place for other platforms throughout the year. Check out the official Fortnite blog post about this tournament here.
