Fortnite is in the midst of the Fortnite X Mayhem crossover event, promoting the new Borderlands game. According to these Fortnite leaks, it looks like a Fortnite X It crossover is next on the calendar.
Epic has been packing Fortnite with crossover events in the last year. We've had Fortnite X Avengers, Fortnite X Stranger Things, Fortnite X Jumpman, and Fortnite X Mayhem to name a few.
The Fortnite X Mayhem will run through September 10, but some new leaks point to the next event on the agenda: Fortnite X It.
It: Chapter 2 releases on September 6, so Epic will likely host this event during the next week - as soon as the Fortnite X Mayhem event is over.
Here are the leaks that point to the crossover event.

These sound files are downright unmistakeable. This is clearly the Pennywise laugh from It, which points to a crossover event in the coming weeks.
That's not all that was found in the game files, however. We also have a file called "Creepy Balloon." As you can see, it's just that.
FIRST, PENNYWISE SOUND FILES NOW A FILE CALLED CREEPY BALLOON!!?? IT'S 100% a CROSSOVER!! pic.twitter.com/plC8Y5vk3D

These two files are enough to nearly confirm a Fortnite X It crossover event once the Fortnite X Mayhem event ends. We've seen several similar partnerships in the past, and a high-profile movie like It seems to make a perfect match for Fortnite.
As far as cosmetics are concerned, Pennywise is the only iconic character from It, which means we'll likely get this skin in Fortnite. The balloon will probably be a Back Bling or emote related to Pennywise, and we can expect to get the chance to use the Pennywise laugh through an emote as well.
