The BRUTE is one of the most controversial items Epic has ever added to Fortnite - right up there with the Infinity Blade. Bugs and exploits are making the BRUTE even more powerful, though.

The BRUTE is powerful enough on its own.

It's one of the most controversial additions Epic has ever made to the game, and it's an outright travesty that the vehicle is still enabled in the "competitive" mode.

Epic may have made a calculated move by adding the BRUTE, as we covered in a previous post. Still, they obviously didn't predict the bugs and exploits the overpowered mech would cause.

Invisible BRUTE

When I thought the BRUTE couldn’t get any worse, I encountered one that was invisible and made no sound from r/FortniteCompetitive

We'll start with this one because it's a game-breaking bug rather than an exploit. Invisible BRUTEs are running around the Fortnite map, terrorizing players.

This clip isn't the only invisible BRUTE we've seen running around. I encountered one in one of my games, and a few streamers have bumped into them as well.

It doesn't seem like this is an exploit, but it's still a huge bug that is making the most powerful vehicle in Fortnite downright unbeatable.

Speed Exploit

72hrs was the first streamer to bring this exploit to the attention of the public. Essentially, you can abuse the "speed boost" feature of the BRUTE by jumping out and back into the mech.

Myth and TimTheTatMan had some fun with the new exploit as well, teleporting to enemies and squad-wiping everyone.

Jumping in and out of the mech isn't the only way to trigger this exploit, as streamer TheFortScientist shows us via a clip on Reddit.

Easy super speed method with the Mech. Different method than Tom/Myth from r/FortniteCompetitive

So, to summarize: we have invisible mechs running around, along with two new exploits that allow you to traverse the map, find enemies, and kill them easily.

The term "broken" gets thrown around a lot with Fortnite, but there's no other word for the current state of the BRUTE.
