From the new season to competitive moves, here's your weekly rundown in one place
This past weekend was… exciting for competitive Fortnite. We saw some big org moves alongside the most stacked Fortnite event of the year. Professional players flew in from across the world and competed at Dreamhack Anaheim for a piece of the $250,000 prize pool on top of major bragging rights. If you aren’t in the loop, let’s get you caught up
100 Thieves signs MrSavage & Rehx
After leaving NRG, MrSavage hinted on social media that he had a “huge announcement” in the works. Over the weekend, he finally revealed he would be joining 100 Thieves’ competitive Fortnite roster
Welcome @MrSavage to 100 Thieves!

MrSavage qualified 4x for the 2019 Fortnite World Cup and placed T30 in both Solos & Duos. This 15-year-old Norwegian phenom has solidified his spot as a top competitor and creator in the scene. We’re beyond excited to have him on 100 Thieves! pic.twitter.com/5UnRvj1iJW
The European superstar’s move may have slightly shadowed Rehx’s co-signing announcement; the west fragger also joined 100 Thieves in a joint post
Welcome @Rehxfn, our newest Fortnite pro player!

With 13x wins across Cash Cups and various tournaments, Rehx joins us just in time for Dreamhack Anaheim. He’s got a proven track record of dominant gameplay, and we’re excited to see him rep 100 Thieves this weekend! #100T pic.twitter.com/kgxLCvAqRv
In my eyes, both of these pickups are top notch. Global representation is key for any tier 1 organization - and these pickups were no doubt the top free agents in their regions (Europe and NA-West respectively)
NRG picks up UnknownArmy
After NRG lost MrSavage (who would go on to join 100 Thieves), they too were looking to make a rebound. This is where UnknownArmy, one of the most explosive controller hybrids in the NA-East region, enters the mix. Last week, UnknownArmy announced that he was officially leaving F/A organization Kungarna as he signed to a tier 1 org. The org? Well that was for us to speculate
Moments before Dreamhack came to a wrap, UnknownArmy dropped the bombshell via Twitter

After the young controlla’ god failed to navigate his way out of semis, a competitive Sunday evening was about as good a time as ever. Regardless of the sluggish performance, his dominance in both FNCS and Cash Cups (on both controller and keyboard inputs) reaffirms his stance as a top prospect
To MrSavage, Rehx and Unknown: best of luck to all of you! Your futures in competitive Fortnite shines brighter than most, take advantage of it while you still have the chance!
MrSavage wins Dreamhack Anaheim
The highlight of our weekend was definitely the $250,000 Fortnite LAN event going down at Dreamhack. The rosters were stacked, only the best of the best managed to secure seats at the 1500 person event. Once the field filtered down to the top 100, it looked just like the World Cup finals
During the stretch, Ghost Bizzle held a narrow lead over the rest of the field, but 100 Thieves’ newest recruit MrSavage would pop off in the final game to secure $30,000 and the Dreamhack title
TOO GOOD
— MrSavage (@MrSavage) February 24, 2020
“TOO GOOD” is all the 15 year old prodigy had to say shortly after claiming his throne in Fortnite history. Take a look at the final moments to understand just how hard MrSavage popped off (skip to 7 minutes)
After making such a big gamble and leaving NRG for greener pasture, both Savage AND 100 Thieves must be relieved and stoked in the choices they made. Big ups to all involved - continued success is a guarantee when we’re talking about Savage
