We finally have some fresh new Fortnite content and no one will be more pleased to see Season 2 than our favorite streamers and creators.

After an incredibly dry first season of Fortnite Chapter 2 in terms of updates, everyone knew that Epic Games had to go big this time around to get the hype back. Luckily, they did not disappoint and this secret agent themed instalment seems like it will be a bunch of fun.

Let’s take a look at some people’s first thoughts:

SypherPK on traps being vaulted

Damage Traps have been a staple of Fortnite since the early days, and one of the few items to avoid the infamous vault. However, with the beginning of this new season, they have finally met their demise. This change will be controversial, but for the most part I think people will be pleased to see them gone.

The Trap King himself, Ali “SypherPK” Hassan has had his say on the vaulting, and doesn’t seem to disappointed. He told his stream “Here’s the truth, the fact is, traps were a little bit ridiculous, especially the past couple seasons”.

Sypher went on to talk about how he is looking forward to making the most of the phasing tricks he has mastered and taught in the past without the threat of being trapped.

Nickmercs' first drop at The Rig

For his first game of Season 2, Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff hopped into a Duo with Sypher. They headed to “The Rig” and had a pretty hilarious time discovering the new features. No doubt he had a good time, even if the spy music in the background was a bit loud for his liking.

Nick was questioning how many of these crazy changes would come over to competitive Fortnite, but as an exponential player, he was at least pleased to hear about the potential linear aim assist nerf.

TimTheTatman reacts to new skins

As someone who has been really feeling the struggle of a long drawn out Season 1, Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar was clearly hyped for the sudden content overload. He decided to start off wearing the Brutus outfit, due to its uncanny resemblance to a certain someone.

Tim also reacted to the fully customisable Maya skin, which people were saying was a subtle nod to him. He jokingly agreed, saying the tattoos looked similar to his and noticing the “TUFF” writing hidden on one variant.
