WIth Fortnite Season 2 coming out, one of the most decisive questions is being asked… Are you a Ghost or Shadow?
Ghost vs Shadow alludes to Fortnite’s battle pass theme, tightly knit within “The Agency.” As you grow and level up the battle pass, certain characters are unlocked. “Brutus” is the first character players can unlock, available as soon as you a) buy the battle pass and b) complete 18 battle pass challenges
The default Brutus looks like this:
This is where things begin to get tricky; you are met with a serious choice that will have long lasting ramifications. The choice? Ghost vs Shadow. An infamous good versus evil, light versus dark debate. Which faction will you choose?
According to Fortnite’s Season 2 trailer, each team has its own set of skin styles (alongside the prestige and comradery, of course). The following skin styles are displayed in the pictures below
Ghost Styles
Shadow Styles
Aside from Peeley looking straight out of a James Bond movie, these new skins are definitely going to be a hit. The fact that players get to choose what route the battle pass takes them - what loot they get… really makes the 950 vbuck price tag an easy ask in my opinion
Early voting suggests Shadow is the favorite
From my very unofficial Twitter poll, alongside a general analysis of social media sentiment, Shadow is pulling ahead as a favorite. The clean dark apparel matches this season’s theme. Also, for any of you OG’s out there, the dark styles are giving me some real John Wick vibes. If you know, you know
Don’t get me wrong, the light and bright “Ghost” theme has some appeal as well. “Ark” is a popular Legendary Fortnite skin that many players opt to pay 2,000 vbucks for. She’s a shining example of the Ghost theme. If you purchased and use the Ark skin, then picking team Ghost should be a no-brainer
For me, I am all aboard team Shadow! It’s a more well rounded package and dark skin themes work in almost any scenario. Catch me working my way up the battle pass over the coming months to unlock all variants
