Just when we thought the end was in sight, it seems that the long-awaited Season 2 may have just been pushed back again.

Already by far the longest season in Fortnite history, it looks like Chapter Season 1 just had another couple of weeks added. With content at an all time low, the hopes of many Fortnite fans rely on Season 2 being epic, but this isn’t the best start.

The Season 1 ending date on the API has been showing February 6, which has therefore been the date that gamers have been hoping to get their hands on a new Battle Pass. However, according to “Hypex” and other notable Fortnite leakers, this has now been updated to February 20.

It’s not uncommon for Epic Games to add on a couple of extra weeks at the end of a season, but with Season 1 already spanning so many months, we thought maybe it wouldn’t be the case this time.

Although this isn’t 100% guaranteed as the official end date for Season 1, it’s fairly conclusive. If this is true, restless Fortnite players are going to need some sort of announcement or exciting update to get them through another 4 weeks.
