The Winterfest event has now concluded, and a hotfix has implemented several changes to Fortnite.
After 14 days of free gifts and festive fun, Winterfest has come to an end. This means that the exclusive Winterfest challenges are also no longer available. The Fortnite map is still entirely covered in snow, and for now the various igloos that popped up for Christmas are still standing.
The following has been disabled:

- Star Wars stuff, I.E Lightsabers
- Winter things (the ice cube things and some other stuff)

The Christmas trees have also been taken down, and the large ice blocks containing fish and good weapons are now empty. Snowmen and the small freezers containing single fish still seem to be in-game.
It’s not just the festive antics that have wrapped up, the Star Wars crossover has also drawn to a close. The Tie Fighter crash sites and Stormtrooopers have vacated the island, as well as the highly controversial Lightsabers.

Some players loved having the chance to use their favorite Star Wars character’s weapon of choice, whilst others argued that they were way too overpowered and couldn’t wait to see the back of them. This also means no more being sprayed for a minute straight by a First Order Blaster Rifle.
For many content deprived Fortnite fans expecting an update today, this hotfix will come as a bit of a blow. It is still possible that a new patch could be released in the next couple of days but there has been no word from Epic Games.
