By now, most players understand the importance of top corner edits in Fortnite, but many still struggle to consistently pull them off. That’s where this handy drill comes in.
Being able to quickly edit the top left or right corner of a wall is a skill that comes in clutch in a number of situations. Perhaps you are in a box and need to expand out to avoid being hit, or maybe you are looking to make use of the “peanut butter” to deal some surprise damage to an opponent. However, there’s something about the angle of this edit that makes it hard for a lot of players.
Luckily for us, r/FortniteCompetitive subreddit mod “Reisshub” has shared a simple routine to help practice these edits. The good thing about this drill is it doesn’t require you to use any specific edit course, you can just head into a blank Creative mode map and get started. Check out the short video in Reisshub’s post to learn what to do.
Simple Warmup Drill to Practice Top Right and Left Edits Out of a Box from r/FortniteCompetitive
Once you have memorised the couple of builds you need to place, this is a great way to work on top corner edits in a more realistic environment. The fact that you are on the move and switching between building and editing will make it a little more challenging but means you will be ready when it’s game time.
This particular drill focuses more on editing out of a box rather than standing next to a wall and looking for a quick edit – shoot – reset combo, but it will definitely help with that too. So, give this a try during your next warmup and soon you will be fully confident in your top corner edits.
