The monthly “is aim assist OP?” debate just sprung up once again. Yes, we’re covering it. Deal with it
RazZzero0o, a professional European Fortnite player, recently tweeted out a video highlighting just how unfair aim assist is
If I can switch to linear 1 minute pre to this clip and have better tracking than 1 hour of kovaaks a day something is fucked up. pic.twitter.com/tFQ8OU7rXA

In no uncertain terms, Razz explains how he trains his aim religiously - many hours per week is the standard. This is not uncommon for a professional Fortnite player, in fact it is completely necessary in order to compete at the highest level. But his startling realization really begins to put things into perspective
When Razz plugged in the controller, which he had never used before, he quickly found out that his aim was BETTER than if he was to use his standard keyboard and mouse setup. Keep in mind - the guy had never used a controller to play competitive Fortnite in the past. Hours upon hours of practice pales in comparison to the aim “assist.” By simply enabling the setting, aim assist will offer you better aim than a professional keyboard and mouse player, according to this video
It’s not just Razz making such claims. Take Aimer7, who is an elite aim training coach known for holding various records in Kovaak’s FPS Aim Trainer. It’s pretty obvious guy has a solid grasp of what it means to be a top aimer - but even he concedes that his abilities are no match for any above-average controlla’ scrimma’
you can't win against a controller. Check my last stream, I managed to kill a controller (on pc obviously) twice over 5, and that's already a miracle

Aimer7 #ad (just kidding)
Even Aydan, the biggest controller player in the world, is willing to concede that some aspects of aim assist are simply overpowered
To be fair, when you were on controller you were basically barrel stuffing.

But, I definitely agree that it pulls a lot up close and especially when players are jumping it literally drags all the way upwards.
But alas, an aim assist debate is never complete without Bizzle chiming in. If Bizzle could have it his way, controller players would be in their own little fantasy world L2’ing each other out of the sky
Get controller players out of PC tournaments SAY I

In my opinion, the resurgence of aim assist arguments are most likely due to UnknownArmy, a controller player notorious for w-keying and L2. The guy has absolutely cracked mechanics, but it’s the impeccable aim that really sets him over the top
His recent Fortnite Championship Series victory could be adding salt to the wounds of all prepubescent Fortnite professionals that didn’t secure a big enough bag. To give credit where it’s due, UnknownArmy did lock up a 5th place cash cup score while playing on keyboard and mouse to prove that aim assist wasn’t the sole key to his success
