When, where, and how do I enter?
Just like last year, Winter Royale will be an online event. You enter by playing at the scheduled times for your region between December 20-22nd. Since the tournament is an open playlist, anybody can enter! All you need is a friend :)
What is the format?
Winter Royale is actually three separate tournaments, one for each day. Each day will have a drastically different format, with the only similarity between all three being payout structure
Day 1:
Victory Royale: 15 Points
Each Elimination: 1 Point
Day 2:
Victory Royale: 60 Points
2nd - 3rd: 50 Points
4th - 7th: 45 Points
8th - 12th: 40 Points
13th - 25th: 25 Points
26th - 35th: 15 Points
36th - 50th: 5 Points
Each Elimination: 5 Points
Day 3:
Victory Royale: 10 Points
2nd - 3rd: 7 Points
4th - 7th: 5 Points
8th - 12th: 3 Points
Each Elimination: 1 Point
Day one will quickly turn into a kill race, since there can only be one victor among fifty teams per lobby. You either win your game, or stock up on kills. No placement thresholds should be an interesting spin compared to the more standard playlists that you are seen in days two and three
How are the prizes going to be divided up?
Winter Royale is a platform specific tournament, meaning PC players will have their own lobbies. XBox and PS4 will be lumped together, as switch and mobile will have a third separate server for themselves. If you are on console - you’re in luck! Prizes are the exact same for you goated console warriors - meaning making some serious cash is a real possibility. Don’t worry mobile players, there’s still some meat on the bone left over for you as well
PC players aren’t exactly thrilled about this revelation, as one user noted that European mobile players have a larger prize pool than NA-West’s

Refer to Epic Games’ official rule book for full prize structure across all regions
Regardless, it’s $15,000,000 being handed out over the course of three days. There’s surely enough money to go around… and if you’re good enough - you might just get a piece of it!
