Misfit’s European Fortnite division took a massive cut as three players part ways due to “unforeseen circumstances”
Although the players individually made statements earlier in the day, an official announcement came way via Misfit’s Twitter account
The same goes for you, @Kylix. Your future is bright in both competitive and content creation. Thanks for all the work you’ve put in with Misfits over the past three months. pic.twitter.com/bC17gUPNUY

Moving down the thread of tweets, Misfits pays homage to all three players that wore the red and black for multiple months before parting from the organization
Many thanks, @osmofn, for what you’ve done for Misfits since joining this past August. Like Ares and Kylix, we wish you the best of luck as you keep succeeding in your career. pic.twitter.com/V6MQfwKQSQ

There are still questions surrounding the nature of this mass purge. Kylix, one of the three aforementioned players, mentioned in his free agent post that the trio had split from Misfits due to “unforeseen circumstances”
Due to unforeseen circumstances myself, @AresFNBR & @osmofn will be parting ways with @MisfitsGG. Thank you for the opportunity and best of luck.

Despite this, it seems as though there is no bad blood between the group. It’s undeniable that right now might be a difficult time for these players, as uncertainty looms across the horizon. Osmo and Ares have both issued statements detailing how they will continue to reach for greatness
This is an all time low in my career, I came into this scene hungry to perform and slowly I saw that flame dwindle out. Today is a change, I am one of the best mechanical players in the world. I will make my dreams a reality, I will not let this break me

Big disappointment, but also a new motivation. Updated free agent post later??

Osmo, Kylix, and Ares teamed up for the trios iteration of the Fortnite Championship Series, but failed to make it out of the heat stage. Despite this, the trio showed resilience and gave it another try. This time, picking up Luminosity’s very own Khuna
Although the leaderboards aren’t finalized yet, the squads placements should be enough to push them into the heats stage. Kylix believes they will be placed in heat three

They have an opportunity to show that Misfits made a mistake and potentially fall into a few recruiters’ radars. At the end of the day, resilience is a key factor when playing a game at the highest level. Since trios, the team has undoubtedly grinded for multiple months which gives them an edge compared to the rest of the field
