After Epic Games decided against hosting a production for the squads iteration of FNCS, the community banded together to do it themselves
Large online tournaments have historically been covered by Epic Games directly. From Winter Royale to World Cup qualifiers, large tournaments typically get some love in regards to live production. But for the squads iteration of the Fortnite Championship Series, the former is simply not the case
Instead, Epic is incentivizing qualified players to boot up their streams and livestream their own POV. Many qualified players confirmed receiving an email stating that live viewers would be eligible for a free spray and banner
Drops are going to be enabled during FNCS finals. Stop by the stream to get a free banner and spray :)

So... there’s no official livestream to watch FNCS? Not exactly. After weeks of preparation and organizing, North America’s Practice Server stepped up to the plate and will be hosting live community coverage of Europe, NA-East, and NA-West
Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

13:00 EST: EU Heat 1
18:00 EST: NA-East Heat 1
December 7th
10:00 EST: NA-East Heat 2
15:00 EST: NA-East Heat 3
18:00 EST: NA-East Heat 4
December 8th
11:00 EST: EU Finals
15:00 EST: NA-East Finals
19:00 EST: NA-West Finals
I decided to catch up with Connoreo, a manager and an integral piece of the Practice Server operation. Since BallaTW, MonsterDFace, and Shyowager will be commentating in the booth, I wanted to inquire as to how they were able to secure top casting talent. He responded, noting that “They are all close friends and we work together on a lot of projects, this is not our first cast with them. I have known Monster for over 6 years and he’s always been there for me and the community he is apart of. Shyowager is someone I talk to daily in the fortnite scene and an overall good friend. Balla is a manager in @T1Scrims and actively helps in community events like these. It was honestly really easy. These guys love doing this and it’s their passion. Could not ask for better representation in the Fortnite casting scene!”
He also made a point of giving credit where it’s due - citing NikolaiFN as “the oil in this machine” through providing live gameplay feeds. It’s a rather thankless job due to the fact that it's entirely behind the scenes, so show both of these guys some (well deserved) love
Three days of action packed Fortnite, all in one place. Follow PracticeServer on Twitch and tune in on December 6-8th!
