Are you tired of risking your neck to open the floating chests in Loot Lake? Well, you don't have to. Take a look at how to open these chests without leaving the ground.
I really don't know how to feel about the current state of Loot Lake.
The infinite Rift is awesome, especially in the season of no mobility. This game is back to feeling like a running simulator at times, and the presence of the Loot Lake Rift provides some much-needed movement when you're running away from the storm.
On the other hand, I hate landing here. Jumping in low-gravity is a death trap if another player sees you, and looting the chests that are suspended in the air isn't worth the risk at times.
Thankfully, streamer Kozaaryy has found a way to break those chests open without leaving the ground.

According to the comments on the Reddit post, the reason this works is that these chests were attached to the car and the box before the Rift blew everything into the air. In the game code, they must still be attached.
It's unclear if this works on some of the other chests in the area, but it's worth a try. Keep this in mind if you're ever stuck in Loot Lake and need some shields or weapons when someone else has you in their sites.
