Epic is putting an emphasis on reducing mobility in Fortnite Season 10. Take a look at all of the vaulted items and new items added in the v10.00 patch.

If Season 9 of Fortnite was the season of mobility, then Season 10 is bringing Fortnite back to the basics. Epic vaulted a ton of mobility items and made it more difficult for massive build-fights to go on without interruption.

Here are the new items and removed items in the Fortnite Season 10 update.

New Items

The B.R.U.T.E. is the newest vehicle added to Fortnite Battle Royale with the Season 10 update. This is a two-person vehicle, so one player can drive while the other player uses the missile launcher and shotgun to fire on opponents.

The Driver can Super Jump, Stomp, and Dash while the passenger uses the shotgun and missile launcher to battle it out on the field.

The new B.R.U.T.E. also comes with an overshield. You can use 200 of any material type to create a 5-second overshield for you and your partner in the mech.

Here are the stats of the weapons that the B.R.U.T.E. has equipped:

  • Shotgun - Clip Size: 10 - Damage: 50 - Headshot Multiplier: 1.5x
    • Missile Launcher
    • Fires up to 10 missiles at once.
    • Holding down Trigger will begin loading missiles.
    • After releasing Trigger, or after 10 missiles have been loaded, all missiles will automatically fire.

Vaulted Items

As we've covered, Epic made an effort to drastically reduce mobility in Fortnite Season 10. They vaulted the Baller, Shadow Bombs, the Quad Crasher, and Glider Redeploy (in base Fortnite modes).

All of these items and vehicles allowed players to move around the map seamlessly. With Season 10, Fortnite seems to be going back to its roots in some ways. That means less mobility on the whole.

When you include the Flint Knock Pistol in this list - which was also vaulted - you'll have to assume that players will be more careful when build-fighting. There are far fewer ways to catch yourself when you fall, so you can't build to sky-limit without a care in the world anymore.

The Mounted Turret (FINALLY!), Air Strike, Semi-Auto Sniper, and Tactical AR were also vaulted with this patch - all items and weapons that the Fortnite community wanted to see go.

On the whole, this patch represents a fantastic shift in the meta. We'll have to see just how powerful the B.R.U.T.E. is going to be - but it will probably become the next Baller and Plane in the growing list of OP vehicles.
