Last night, Epic Games accidentally released a news feed update that announced a Mega sale. They took to Twitter to clarify.
Epic Games announced a Mega sale through the Fortnite news feed that allows players who signed up for two-factor authentication to receive a $10 credit to use in the Epic Games store. The only problem? The sale isn't live yet.

Epic quickly removed the announcement from the news feed and took to Twitter to clarify the issue. The sale isn't live just yet, but the team is working on one for the future.
Whoops! An MOTD snuck out about a sale. There is an Epic Games store sale on games in the works, but it hasn't launched yet. Stay tuned to @EpicGames for details in a few days.

You shouldn't confuse the Epic Games store with the Fortnite store. This isn't a 1,000 V-Bucks reward, although it may be possible to purchase V-Bucks from the Epic Games store and use it in Fortnite.
