Fortnite Season 9 Teaser 2: What Are They Spelling?

Epic Games releases the second teaser for Fortnite Season 9. What are we spelling, here?

With Season 8 winding down, most players are looking forward to Season 9 and the removal of the dark gloom that's been around the map since the volcano erupted.

Epic has released two teasers for the new season, with a new one probably coming each day until the season begins.

They added to their futuristic theme with the title: The Future is Bright to go along with "The Future is Unknown" from yesterday. This skin looks like a soldier of some kind, and we'll probably see her early in the Battle Pass.

Like we saw with Season 8, these promotional images will fit together to make a full Season 9 poster when they're all released.

The big question is: what are we spelling?

Some people seem to think that Epic is spelling "Nexus," which was the name of the Unvaulting event in the game files. This has never been referenced outside of the files, however, and doesn't totally add up.

My guess is that Fortnite is spelling "NEXT." There are only two days left until Season 9, so that would be enough letters to fill the promo. The season starts on May 9, though, so it might be silly to release the final promotional image when the new season drops. I'm just throwing out ideas, here. What do you think?
