Fortnite Releases the First Teaser for Season 9

With the Season 8 event in the rearview mirror, all eyes are on Season 9. Fortnite released the first teaser for the event, pointing to a possible 'futuristic' theme.

This was an eventful weekend in the Fortnite world, with the unvaulting event and the volcanic eruption that led to the destruction of Tilted Towers and Retail Row.

Now, players are looking ahead to Season 9, which is set to kick off later this week. Fortnite released their first teaser for the event, which shows one of the skins we'll likely receive in the Battle Pass.

The image doesn't show us much, but we'll be getting some more information if last season's reveal is any indication.

If you remember, Fortnite released images for Season 8 that fit together to tell us a larger story. When you placed them all together, you saw a volcano, a skull, and a banana - hinting at the addition of the volcano and the pirate theme.

The text suggests that there will be some sort of futuristic theme to next season, which some are speculating could mean an almost entirely new map. We'll have to wait and see how the Fortnite world rebounds from the loss of Tilted Towers and Retail Row.
