Fortnite content update 8.51 introduced the Shadow Bombs to the game. It wasn't long before players found two game breaking glitches with the newest items.
Glitches are relatively common in Fortnite, especially when they relate to newly added items. The glitches that are happening with the Shadow Bombs are virtually unheard of.
As of now, there are two massive bugs relating to the Shadow Bombs. These glitches are so bad that I'm considering holding off playing Fortnite until they're fixed or removed. Here's what they are.
The Game-Breaking Glitch
if your duo is knocked while invisible and you revive him, he will be invisible the whole game and he can use weapons while double jumping :D gg's ez qualify @FortniteGame pic.twitter.com/WW3VoEEItS

We'll start with the first and most striking glitch that occurs with the Shadow Bombs. As you can see from the @humanilliance tweet above, players that go down while invisible and get revived will remain invisible for the rest of the match.
There's not much to say with this one. It's downright game-breaking and it's a shock that Epic hasn't disabled the item as of this writing.
Admittedly, this glitch is a bit difficult to intentionally trigger. You can't take fall damage when using a Shadow Bomb, so you need to get killed and revived while invisible for it to work in the game.
Still, Epic needs to put in a hotfix for this problem or outright remove it from Fortnite until it's fixed.
The In-Air Glitch
Twitch streamer Zazzy found another Shadow Bomb glitch in Creative Mode. Apparently, the 6-second invisibility timer only stops when the player hits the ground. You can essentially jump your way to high ground by using this new exploit.
This problem isn't as glaring as the first, but it's easier to do and is justification for pulling the Shadow Bombs by itself without considering the more problematic glitch.
The Shadow Bombs have been in the game files for nearly a month, which means Epic has been tweaking and testing them since even before that. How, then, do two such game-breaking glitches make it into the live patch?
As of this writing, Epic still hasn't made a statement on their two newest bugs. There's another duo qualifier event this weekend, but I can't imagine Epic allows the Shadow Bombs to make it that far.
