Another Apex Legends system looks like it's making its way into Fortnite.

Apex Legends had a meteoric rise to success after it was released earlier this month. It does so many things to improve on the battle royale genre, two of which are the pinging system and the ability to respawn your "thirsted" teammates.

Well, the release of Season 8 brought the former ability into Fortnite. You can now ping locations, items, and enemies in the game to make nonverbal communications a whole lot easier.

As many have predicted, though, it doesn't look like the pinging system is the only thing that Fortnite is borrowing from Apex Legends.

Players loading into Fortnite have seen some new vans around the map. When you view them in "replay" mode, you can see a hologram of a player on the top of them.

The idea was further corroborated by dataminer FortTroy, who posted an image of the "Second Chance Van" in the game files.

The addition of a respawn system in Fortnite makes a ton of sense. Just today, I had one of my teammates rage-quit after dying in an early fight. We went on to win the game without him - not to brag.

There's no news on when the respawn system will make its way into Fortnite, but it's clearly on the horizon. I'm guessing they're still working out the kinks - or else they would have included it in this update.
