More information about when the cracks in the Fortnite map will be breaking open.

Fortnite season 7 is slowly closing out as the days pass on. News of an earthquake hitting the map has been widespread, with some theorists hypothesizing that they are connected to a bigger volcano that will soon overtake a portion of the Fortnite world.

This would make sense as it relates to the Prisoner, who is a molten rock character that could easily reference a volcano.

Players began noticing the rumblings in the game soon after patch 7.40 came out, which led to the cracks we are seeing develop across the map.

Fortnite dataminer Lucas7Yoshi_ farmed the "fissure hours" out of the game files, which tells us when these cracks will be taking place. One of his followers put the info in a table that's easy to digest.

You can try to coordinate your games with the timing of these cracks, but there's no guarantee you'll get the location correct. As of now, there doesn't seem to be any information on where these cracks are forming. Lucas7Yoshi_ even brought up the idea that the location of the cracks might be random.

We still have a lot of questions about what will happen leading into season 8. Will the prisoner cause a volcano to appear on the map? What's the deal with the dragon eggs back at Polar Peak? Will the new building in Tilted Towers be spared this time or will the construction workers be back at it?

We'll let you know when we find out more. For now, follow @FortniteTracker on Twitter for more news and updates as they come.
