Fortnite Easter Update 2023: Egg Launcher, FREE Rewards, New Chickens & Leaked Skins

Fortnite’s easter update brings baskets full of fresh content, plus earn free cosmetics with the Spring Breakout Quests!

Hop into Spring Breakout 2023 to discover changes across the Battle Royale Island. The event is live from now until April 11 at 12 AM ET.

Easter Items & Wildlife

As we’ve come to expect over the years, the fan-favorite Egg Launcher has been unvaulted. Find them in Chests, Supply Drops, on the floor, for sale from certain characters, or grab one with the new Springtime Blowout Reality Augment.

Keep an eye out for green and purple chickens. They will lay one of following power-up eggs:

Heal Eggs: Restore Health and Shield slowly over time.

Hop Eggs: Temporary low gravity effect, also grants Health.

Golden Eggs: Interact with a Golden Egg to receive Bars.

None of the Easter-themed items above will feature in competitive playlists. This includes the new eggs, chickens, Egg Launcher, and Springtime Blowout Reality Augment.

Spring Breakout Quests

Complete daily Spring Breakout Quests to earn XP and a selection of cosmetic rewards. Here’s what’s up for grabs:

• Day 1 Quest’s Reward: Bloomback Sack Back Bling

• Day 7 Quest’s Reward: Shell Smash Spray

• Day 9 Quest’s Reward: The Works Loading Screen

• Day 12 Quest’s Reward: A Spring Breakout Banner Icon

• Complete 12 Spring Breakout Quests: Nannerbloom Hammer Pickaxe

• Complete 22 Spring Breakout Quests: Fresh Flyer Glider

New Reality Augments (Get a Charge Shotgun)

Check out the new Reality Augments added in patch v24.10:

Rail Warrior

Regenerate Health and partial Shield while on grind rails or ziplines, except while in the Storm.

Go For Broke

Grants a Charge Shotgun and Flintknock Pistol.

Aquatic Warrior

Move faster and regenerate Health and partial Shield while swimming, except while in the Storm.

Game Time

Grants the Pizza Party and some Chug Splashes!

Hire Specialists

You can now hire Specialist characters to fight alongside you. Just pay them with Bars and they’ll be happy to help:

• Scout Specialist: Scouts can pick off foes from afar with a Sniper, and can ping nearby enemies and Chests.

• Heavy Specialist: With their explosive inventory, Heavies specializes in making things go BOOM! Heavies can also take more damage than other Specialists.

• Supply Specialist: Supply Specialists drop ammo and mats for you to pick up (Note: Supply Specialists won’t drop mats in Zero Build.)

• Medical Specialist: Hired Medics heal you with Chug Splashes to restore your Health and Shield.

Building & Editing Sensitivity on KBM

Mouse and Keyboard players finally have separate Building Sensitivity and Editing Sensitivity options. Could this push the skill ceiling for mechanics even higher?
