Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 could be the longest in the game’s history, potentially lasting more than four months.
We’re just moments away from the launch of Fortnite C4:S2 and the leaks are coming in thick and fast. It seems that there will be futuristic “Neo-Toyko” theme, as well as a huge Attack on Titan collaboration.
In recent hours, the Rift Gate at Warden’s Watch has exploded, creating a large red Rift in the sky. Teasers have also revealed that next season will be titled #FortniteMEGA and dataminers have shared the upcoming Battle Bus promo image.

But what’s all this about a long season?
Chapter 4 Season 2 End Date
According to @Guille_GAG on Twitter, the #FortniteMEGA hashtag is currently set to end on the 16thof July. This means that Chapter 4 Season 2 can be expected to finish at a similar time.
A July 16 end date would make Chapter 4 Season 2 roughly 130 days long. This is even more than the current longest season record holder, Chapter 2 Season 1, which lasted 128 days.
The #FortniteMEGA Hashtag is currently set to end on the 16th of July. If this stays accurate, Season 2 could last 4 months (132 days).

If you played during C2:S1, you’ll remember things started to get very boring towards the end. There weren’t many changes, no tournaments, and lots of players chose to spend their time in Creative instead.
From what we know so far, next season is shaping up to be an exciting one. It looks like the map will get a major revamp, we’ll get new weapons and the Attack on Titan collab, plus first-person mode and Creative 2.0 are both rumored to be arriving.
However, Epic will still need to keep dropping regular (and significant) content updates if they want to keep everyone entertained for four months. A bad season here could really take the wind out of the sails just when Fortnite was starting to pick up momentum again.
